Schedule a phone call or meeting to share information. We'll build a detailed history of your child's academic history and current level of functioning. We'll give more insight into our programming and possible support.
Any psychoeducational assessments, IEPs, or reports from other professionals, such as Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Therapy? Sharing these helps to build a detailed picture of your child's strengths and needs.
Meet and Greet
Come by 2425 Bloor Street for a brief tour and introduction. This helps your child feel confident and comfortable and reduces anxiety in a child's first session. This brief 5 to 10 minute tour is key to help set up the student for a successful start to sessions!
Our first session establishes a student's learning profile and helps to develop an instructional plan. Depending on a child's needs, we use a combination of formal, standardized tests and informal skills assessments. This allows us to build a clear picture of your child's academic profile. Testing results are summarized in a written report.
A feedback meeting or phone call allows us to collaborate about the next steps moving forward and helps to develop an instructional plan for a child's sessions.
